64-year-old Russian specialist Aleksandr Tarkhanov has officially been appointed FC Pyunik’s head coach.

The well-known specialist was the manager of CSKA Moscow, Samara’s Krylia Sovetov, Grozny’s Terek and Khimki. From 1994 to 1996 he was Oleg Romatsev’s assistant in the Russia national team. Tarkhanov’s last club was Ural Yekaterinburg.

It should be added that Aleksandr Tarkhanov had an experience of working in Armenia in the past; in the late 1980s he was in the coaching staff of Kotayk Abovyan.
