Arthur ArshamSoghomonyan was born on June 15, 1967 in Yerevan (Armenia) in a military family. The Soghomonyans are from Noratus village of Gegharkunik province. Arthur Soghomonyan’s father, ArshamSoghomonyan,  was born in Noratus. He was a military pilot. The school of Noratus was named after ArshamSoghomonyan. Two years after Arthur’s birth the Soghomonyan’s moved to Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), then to Moscow
