Pyunik FC has a new player. 29-year-old Senegalese forward Dame Diop has joined the team.

Earlier Diop played for Senegalese Touré Kunda, Khimki Moscow, Shirak Gyumri, Czech Slavia, Fastav Zlin, Banik Ostrava and Turkish Hatayspor. His last team was Czech České Budějovice.

Playing for Shirak Gyumri the Senegalese forward became an Armenian champion  (2012/13), cup winner (2011/12) and supercup winner (2013). In the 2016/17 season he won the Czech Cup for Fastav Zlin.

Let us note that the experienced forward played 43 matches in the Armenian Premier League, scoring 13 goals and 8 assists.

In Fastav Zlin Dame Diop participated in 5 of the 6 matches of the 2017/18 Europa League group stage, sending a goal to Danish Copenhagen’s goal post.

Diop also played for the Senegal U17, U20 and U23 teams, as well as played one match for the Senegal national team, participating in a friendly match with the Colombia national team in May 2014.
