Artsakh - Pyunik 0-3 (Video)

In the framework of the 32nd day of the Armenian Premier League Pyunik was hosted by Artsakh.

Our team approached this match as the only leader of the championship and was full of determination to celebrate the next victory.

Compared with the previous match Aleksandr Tarkhanov made 3 changes in Pyunik’s starting lineup; from the very first minute Robert Hakobyan, Serob Grigoryan, Mohamed Konate entered the pitch replacing Vyacheslav Dmitriev, Armen Manucharyan and Usman Mohamed. The last two weren’t even in the list.

On the 10th minute Pyunik managed to open the score of the match quickly; Sergei Shevchuk passed the ball from a corner to Artsakh’s penalty area and Kristi Marku opened the score with a header, 0-1. It was our team’s Albanian defender’s first goal in Pyunik.

On the 23rd minute Pyunik could double its advantage. Again after a corner kick this time Maksim Zhestokov succeeded with a header scoring his 5th goal in this round. It also should be noted that Sergei Shevchuk  was again the goal pass author who made his 4th goal pass in the last two matches.

On the 34th minute our team could solve all its problems already in the first half when again after Sergei Shevchuk’s pass from the left wing Mohamed Konate, being under control, managed to kick the ball in the direction of opponent’s goal but Artsakh’s goalkeeper saved his team in that episode.

Already on the 37th minute Artsakh had a perfect chance to reduce the score but Vardan Bakalyan’s kick from a very favorable position was inaccurate.

On the 39th minute the score became 0-3. Sergei Shevchuk and Serob Grigoryan passed the ball to each other and the last one sent the ball to the opponent’s penalty area where Mohamed Konate first reached it and sent to Artsakh’s goal with one click.

Only a minute later Sergei Shevchuk could succeed but after his kick Samur Aghamagomedov was able to throw the ball out to the corner with his fingertips.

Before the interval Artsakh had one more good opportunity to succeed but Eduard Avagyan’s shot was very unsuccessful.

The first dangerous kick of the second half was made by Artsakh’s footballers when Benik Hovhannisyan’s shot passed by a vertical goal post.

On the 63rd minute Erik Vardanyan invaded the opponent’s penalty area with the ball, took an attacking position and could personally get the job done but passed the ball to Arthur Miranyan and the last one failed to take advantage of a wonderful chance and become an author of a goal in the 3rd match in a row.

On the 67th minute Pyunik again got a good chance to score the 4th goal; Erik Vardanyan receiving a pass from Sergei Shevchuk hit the unguarded goal at once but the ball bypassed it.

On the 89th minute Artsakh’s Edgar Movsesyan who had come out as a substitute faced alone our team’s goal but after his kick Andrija Dragoevich kept our goal inaccessible with his reliable play.

There weren’t any scored goals in the second half and the score remained unchanged, 0-3.

Pyunik celebrated its 6th successive win and having still 4 days of the championship ahead continues leading confidently the tournament table.
