
We are delighted to announce that 20-year-old midfielder Karlen Hovhannisyan has returned to FC Pyunik after completing his military service.
Karlen is an alumnus of the Pyunik Academy: in the 2021/22 season, he won the Armenian U18 Championship with Pyunik-05. In the same season, Karlen Hovhannisyan began playing for Pyunik Academy, which participates in the Armenian First League.
On May 28, 2022, in the match of the last round of the Armenian Premier League against Alashkert Yerevan (1:1), Karlen made his debut in the main team of Pyunik, which had been declared champion of Armenia for the 15th time a round before that.
In the fall of 2022, he participated in the matches of the first round of the 2022/23 Youth Champions League against the French Nantes for the Pyunik U18 team.
In July 2023, Karlen moved to BKMA and during his military service played the previous two seasons there. In total, he played 53 games for the army team, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist.
Karlen Hovhannisyan has also played for the Armenia U16, U17, U19 and U21 teams.
