Four players extend their contracts

We are glad to announce that Pyunik has extended the contracts of goalkeeper Stanislav Buchnev, defenders Anton Bratkov, Sergiy Vakulenko and Mikhail Kovalenko till the end of the 2023/24 season.

Our defense has been particularly impressive in the spring part of the current season:  conceding 5 goals in 13 matches.

"The time and the job they had done proved that they are important players for us. They showed they match the level of Pyunik, therefore it was decided to extend their contracts. We will never want to give up on those footballers with whom we achieved our goals and who benefited the team. Now we are moving forward with them towards new achievements," stressed Eghishe Melikyan, the head coach of the team.

Stanislav Buchnev joined Pyunik in the summer of 2020 from the Russian Fakel. Last season, Stanislav helped our team to become the champion of Armenia. The goalkeeper received Armenian citizenship while playing in our club, was called-up to the national team and made his debut in 2021 in the World Cup 2022 qualifying round match against Germany. Overall, he played 66 matches for Pyunik, keeping cleansheet in 29 matches.

Anton Bratkov moved to our club in the winter of 2021 from the Ukrainian Metalist. In the 2021/22 season, he won the gold medals of the Armenian Championship with Pyunik. In total, the Ukrainian footballer played 67 matches for our team.

Sergiy Vakulenko moved to Pyunik in the summer of 2022 from Ararat-Armenia. The Ukrainian played 13 matches for Pyunik.

Mikhail Kovalenko joined our club last summer from the Russian Dolgoprudniy. In the current season, hе has already managed to participate in 38 matches scoring two goals and  making one assist.

We congratulate the players on the new contracts and wish them remarkable victories with the team.
