In the 9th matchday of the IDbank Armenian Premier League, Pyunik faced Shirak as a host team in Gyumri.

In the 5th minute of the match, José Caraballo put our team ahead with a header after Juninho's pass. At the end of the match, Sergiy Vakulenko received the second yellow card and was sent off the pitch. Pyunik won 1:0 and continues leading the standings. Goalkeeper Stanislav Buchnev kept a clean sheet in the 5th game in a row.

Pyunik will host Alashkert in Gyumri on September 29.
