Pyunik loses the first leg to Struga

In the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, Pyunik lost 1:2 to Struga in North Macedonia.

During the first 23 minutes of the match, the teams exchanged goals from the penalty spot. First, Besart Ibraimi, the leading player of the home team, stood out with a goal in the 8th minute, then Lucas Villela scored our first goal of the season.

The second half turned out to be more interesting with intriguing moments. David Davidyan could have made Pyunik advance; his shot was accurate, but not effective.

In the 60th minute of the match, our team’s captain Sergey Vakulenko got nervious and was sent off the pitch.

The hosts took advantage of the numerical superiority. Stefan Spirovski's beautiful shot from a distance brought the North Macedonians victory in the first leg of the confrontation.

The second leg of the confrontation between Struga and Pyunik will take place on July 30, at the Republican Stadium named after Vazgen Sargsyan.
