Pyunik defeated Struga 3:1 at home in the second leg of the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League and advanced to the next round.

Our team had to start the match with a lot of pressure, because there was a one-goal difference in the confrontation. Already in the 16th minute, Serges Deble stood out with a goal for the first time after recovering from an injury. Until the end of the half, our team continued creating problems in the defense line of the North Macedonians, while the rival took advantage of the counterattacks. However, Pyunik managed to stand out once again. Mikhail Kovalenko, who started the attack, finished it, appearing in the right place at the right time. Before the whistle of the referee, the leading player of the guests, Besart Ibraimi, restored the equality of the goals in the confrontation.

Throughout the second half, the teams created dangerous moments at each other's goal from time to time, but Pyunik was closer to scoring a goal, in one episode, Filip Dujmovic made an impressive save, in another episode, a defender of Struga pushed the ball out of the goal post.

In the referee's added time, literally in the last seconds, Pyunik presented an unforgettable evening to the fans. Lucas Villela, performing one of his favorite tricks, took a favorable position for a shot, the Brazilian's attempt was pushed back by Dujmovic, but Mikhail Kovalenko was quick to send the ball into an empty net, scoring a brace and sending our team to the next round.

Pyunik will compete with the winner of the Differdange - Ordabasy pair in the next round. In the first leg of the confrontation, the team representing Luxembourg won narrowly. The teams will find out the winner on August 1.
