After the second leg between Pyunik and Ordabasy (1:0) of the Conference League, Yusuf Otubanjo, the hero of the confrontation, answered the questions of the club's press service and spoke about his impressions.
- Congratulations on the victory and the winning goal. What kind of emotions and impressions have you got from the game?
- The emotions...it's unbelievable, to score again, it's a good feeling. When we play at home, the emotions are a little different, you want to impress your fans and family. I am happy for the goal; the emotions are positive.
- You scored a goal in the first match as well, then we had about a week to prepare for the second leg. How did the team prepare psychologically for this game, because we could have got relaxed and lost the advantage?
- When we won the first game and went back home, the coach said, “Don't think you are strong because you won the first leg, we have to prepare for the game as if the score is 0:0. You have to start the game from scratch, you have to win, you don't have to defend. We were preparing, trying different strategies, preparing tactics, we wanted to score and everything worked out.
- There are also newcomers and many injured footballers in the team. How is the team feeling, how is the adaptation of the new players going?
- Every day during the training the coach tells the new players to focus more on tactics, yes, they have just joined us, they need time to adapt to our playstyle. Thank God, everything works out for them. We feel very sorry for the injured players, but they are a part of the team because their spirit, support and strength helps the team. I'm sure they will soon recover and the team will get stronger.
