In the 5th day of the Armenian Premier League, Pyunik beat Shirak 2:0 at home.

In the first minute of the match, Cedric Dohn scored a goal for the Gyumri team, but the referee nullified it due to a violation of the rules. The opening 45 minutes were not full of dangerous moments.

At the very beginning of the second half, Alemao could have opened the score of the match, but after the Brazilian's shot from the penalty spot, the horizontal crossbar saved the rival. The score of the game was opened only in the 69th minute; substitute Serges Deble earned a penalty kick, and Eugeniu Cociuc scored accurately, registering first goal in the Armenian championships.

It took Pyunik 15 minutes to finally decide the outcome of the match; after a corner kick, Yusuf Otubanjo made a tricky shot, after which Darko Vukasinovic was unable to save the situation.

After this match, the teams go on an international break. Pyunik will be received by West Armenia in the next round, and the date and time will be known later.
