In the 7th round of the Fastex Armenian Premier League, Pyunik had a convincing victory over BKMA, 4:1.
Our footballers were the first to succeed in this game. In the 21st minute, Agdon Menezes managed to open the score of the game from close range, standing out for the second game in a row.
However, in the first half, thanks to Gor Arakelyan's goal, the army team was able to restore the balance of the score, 1:1.
After the break, Pyunik showed their dominance, and at the beginning of the second half, Juninho pushed our team forward, dedicating the scored goal to his newborn child.
In the 62nd minute, one of the BKMA players impeded the ball course with his hand in his own penalty area and the referee assigned a penalty kick. Yusuf Otubanjo approached the ball and made the score 3:1 with a clear shot.
In the 72nd minute, our team was left with 10 players, when the referee made a suspicious decision sending James Santos off the pitch for a handball in his own penalty area and at the same time awarding a penalty kick to BKMA. However, Henry Avagyan was able to guess the direction of the shot with an impressive jump.
And 5 minutes before the end of the main time, the substitute Serges Deble was able to get rid of the rival’s defender and with a sharp corner kick formulated the final score, 4:1.
Our team will play the next game on September 24, hosting the runner-up, Noah.
