Russian defender Anton Belov had given his first interview as a Pyunik footballer.

- Anton welcome to Pyunik. Please, share your impressions.

- Thank you. Everything is very well. I look forward to the beginning of the season.

- What about your move? What was the main reason of such a decision?

- I won’t hide, the main reason was the head coach. Aleksandr Tarkhanov is a well-known and experienced specialist. One phone conversation with him was enough to make such a decision. Aleksandr Tarkhanov has helped many footballers to become the footballers they are now. The second reason is the qualification for the Eurocups. Last year the team advanced much at the Eurocups. I believe this year we will be able to overcome the rest obstacles.

- And what do you know about Armenia?

- I have many Armenian friends and every one of them tells delightedly enough of Armenia and Yerevan. They are very proud of their homeland. Judging from that I can say that real patriots live here. I know much about the significance of Mount Ararat. I know that Yerevan is 2800 years old and it’s amazing. Also I know that most Armenians live abroad.

- And what would you say about the Armenian Premier League? Have you ever seen it?

- To tell the truth, I’ve watched several matches after learning I could appear here. I understood that football is in the process of development here. Many legionaries come here and the level of the championship is improving with every year. It also played a decisive role in my decision.

- And what about the team? How did the guys receive you?

- The team is very friendly. I’m still getting acquainted with them and I can say that the process is very easy for which I’m thankful to the guys. Here I also have some acquaintances, Yevgeni Kobozev and Karlen Mkrtchyan. So, everything is fine.
