Pyunik Girls – two-time champion of Armenia (Photos)

In the 13th day of the Armenian Women’s Premier League, Pyunik Girls narrowly defeated Ararat-Armenia at home, winning the country’s championship for the second year in a row. Our girls won the champion title five rounds before the end of the season.

The only goal of the match was scored in the first half; Ani Ghukasyan broke through the defense line from the right wing, scoring our winning goal.

"I’m glad that we were able to win the Armenian championship for the second year in a row. I am grateful to all the people who have been with us and supported us. I congratulate the management of Pyunik, the coaching staff and all our fans. We are not going to stop on this achievement and are going to set new goals for ourselves, continuing to work hard," head coach Armen Bareghamyan shared his impressions after the game.

Armen Bareghamyan’s team continues their winning campaign, having 12 wins in 12 games. The next match will be played away against Urartu on April 15.

Congratulations to our girls and the coaching staff on the occasion of winning the championship.
