
We are pleased to announce that 29-year-old goalkeeper Henry Avagyan has returned to FC Pyunik.
Henry is an alumnus FC Mika and played for Mika-2 and the main team of Mika. In 2016, he moved to Banants (currently Urartu), where he spent 2 seasons.
In July 2018, Henry Avagyan joined Alashkert with which he won the Armenian Super Cup (2018) and Cup (2018/19). The goalkeeper spent the 2020/21 season at Van Charentsavan.
In January 2022, Avagyan continued his career in the Armenian Premier League newcomer Noravank, where he became an Armenian cup winner in the 2021/22 season. Then he played half a season in BKMA.
In December 2022, Henry Avagyan moved to Pyunik and won the Armenian championship in the following season. In the 2024/25 season Avagyan participated in all 8 Eurocup matches of Pyunik without substitution, keeping the goal inaccessible in 4 of them. In total, he played 29 games for our team.
Henry Avagyan's previous team was Ararat-Armenia, where he has played since January 2025. Henry won the Armenian Super Cup with the runner-up of the country in April of this year.
Avagyan has also played for the Armenia U17, U18, U19 and U21 national teams. On November 19, 2018, in the first Nations League away match against Liechtenstein (2:2), Avagyan made his debut for the Armenia national team.
