
In the 9th round of the Armenian First League Championship, Pyunik Academy hosted Araks Ararat.
In the starting lineup of our team was included 16-year-old goalkeeper Seryozha Harutyunyan for the first time.
The start of the game was a failure for our team and by the 24th minute, Pyunik Academy was conceding 0-2. Egyptian forward Ahmed Fadlallah had scored a brace for the guests.
However, our boys, demonstrating high willpower, were able to turn the course of the game.
First, in the 43rd minute, after Artak Galstyan's penalty kick, Mayis Khachatryan reduced the score difference with a header, then 2 minutes later, Tigran Gevorgyan made a cross pass from the right wing into the opponent's penalty area, and Valeriy Hambardzumyan managed to restore the balance of the score, 2-2.
After the break, Levon Stepanyan's team didn't satisfied with the achieved, and in the 55th minute, Pyunik Academy managed to take the lead. Artak Galstyan again scored a goal assist; after his corner kick, Zhirayr Ashikyan put our team ahead with a beautiful header, 3-2.
Pyunik Academy was able to maintain the winning score and break the series of the last 3 unsuccessful matches.
It should be noted, besides goalkeeper Seryozha Harutyunyan, young footballers Artyom Hakobyan and David Asaturyan made their debut for Pyunik Academy in this match.
