Manuk Sargsyan: We would like to have more attention towards women’s football

After the victory over L. Artsakh Girls (5-1) in the Armenian Women’s Premier League, our team’s head coach Manuk Sargsyan assessed the game, as well as spoke about the level of the championship and our team’s performance.

“It was a good game, not very fast-paced. The important thing is that we realized the scoring moments. In general, I think that the tasks set for our girls were accomplished at a certain extent. I’m happy that we scored two headers, because we are working hard in that direction to be able to play more successfully on the second floor.

Of course, having four teams in the championship is quite little. We would like to have more attention towards women’s football in order to have a higher-level championship.

The most difficult game in the current championship, in my opinion, was the match against L. Artsakh Girls in Ashtarak, because the pitch was not in very good condition.

I would not like to single out anyone in our team. All the female players are playing well and I am pleased with everyone."
