Pyunik FC has a new addition: Brazilian left-back James Santos has joined our team.

The 30-year-old footballer has previously played for Brazilian clubs Inter de Lages, Bragantino, Sampaio Corrêa and Campinense.

In August 2019 James moved to Yerevan’s Ararat. He spent the following season with Yerevan’s Urartu.

After that, James Santos played for Yerevan’s Alashkert for 1.5 years. With Alashkert, he took part in five matches of the UEFA Europa Conference League 2021/22 group stage.

In January 2023 the Brazilian footballer joined Pyunik and quickly established himself as a regular in the starting lineup. In the 2023/24 season, he won the Armenian Championship with Pyunik.

In total, James Santos played 72 matches for our team, scoring 8 goals and providing 9 assists.

In January of last year, James moved to Yerevan’s Noah, with whom he became the Armenian champion and cup winner of the 2024/25 season.

James Santos’ previous club was Van of Charentsavan, where he had been playing since August 2025. In the first part of the current season, he made 16 appearances for Van and recorded one assist.
