In the 28th round of the Armenian First League, Pyunik Academy faced one of the league leaders, “Syunik,” in Kapan.

In the first half, Aram Aharonyan put our team ahead by converting a penalty kick. In the 75th minute, the hosts managed to equalize through Armen Tsatryan.

However, just two minutes later, Pyunik Academy captain Tigran Gevorgyan restored our team’s lead and then completed his brace in the 81st minute to make the score 1:3.

In the second minute of added time, Syunik managed to reduce the deficit, but the hosts could not do any more.

Thus, Levon Stepanyan’s side earned 38 points and currently sits in 7th place in the standings.

Pyunik Academy will play its next match on May 19 at home against Bentonit.
