Ahead of the start of the Armenian First League, changes have taken place in the coaching staff of Pyunik Academy.
Stepan Harutyunyan has been appointed as the new head coach. The team's coaching staff also includes assistant coach Hrant Elazyan and goalkeeper coach Felix Hakobyan.
As a football player, Stepan Harutyunyan previously played for Banants (now Urartu), Lori Vanadzor, Ararat Yerevan, and West Armenia, and also represented the Armenia U-17 and U-19 teams.
He began his coaching career in 2021, working within the FC Pyunik structure.
In the 2023/24 season, as an assistant coach, Harutyunyan won the Armenian U-18 Championship and Cup with the Pyunik 2007 team, securing a spot in the UEFA Youth League.
In the 2024/25 season, under Stepan Harutyunyan's leadership, the Pyunik 2010 team won the Armenian U-18 Cup, and in March 2025, they participated in the annual international tournament "Elite Neon Cup" in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
Last season, the Pyunik 2009 team led by him won the Armenian U-18 Cup and finished 2nd in the U-18 Championship.
In July 2024, Stepan Harutyunyan joined the coaching staff of Pyunik Academy and worked as an assistant coach alongside Levon Stepanyan in previous seasons.
It is worth noting that assistant coach Vigen Abrahamyan and forwards coach Arsen Avetisyan will continue their work at Pyunik Academy.
