Following a 3-0 away victory against Van Charentsavan in the 13th round of the Armenian Premier League, Pyunik's head coach, Dmitry Gunko, shared his thoughts on the match in a post-game interview and spoke about Iasonas Pikis’s call-up to his national team:
"I wouldn’t separate the games into those played before the international break and those after. No, by no means! For us, every game is a story of its own, and we play to win every single match.
It took us a long time today to adapt to the pitch, which is why the ball moved very slowly, and the boys kept stumbling in the first half.
However, the rain helped in the second half, and overall, the ball began to move much better. We managed to create quite a few goal-scoring opportunities, which resulted in the penalty won in the first half and the two goals scored in the second half.
Iasonas Pikis’s call-up to the Cyprus national team?... Well, we are waiting for him to take us to a restaurant now that we have prepared him for the national team. But it will also be interesting to watch his matchup against the Armenia national team, which will take place here.
As for the international break, the team plans to use this interval to prepare for the next stretch of the championship, which is going to be quite challenging."
