As it is known, the extraordinary meeting of the members of the Football Federation of Armenia will be held on 23 December, during which the new president and new staff of the Executive Committee of the FFA will be elected.

On the eve of this decisive event for Armenian football, we, football clubs Pyunik, Ararat and Shirak, want to make the following joint statement. We express our full support to the statement made after the last meeting of the FFA Executive Committee that a process of rehabilitating the FFA staff is required. We are confident that before the elections of the new FFA president and staff of the Executive Committee, it’s necessary to ensure that the organizations that don’t meet the requirements of the FFA Statutes, in fact don’t engage in football activities and appear only during regular elections, are removed from the FFA membership and have no opportunity to participate in the elections. We are convinced that such organizations have no legal or moral right to participate in making any important decision related to Armenian football.

Therefore, it is very important to first rehabilitate the list of the FFA members and only then to organize the elections of the FFA president and Executive Committee. Only this process will ensure legitimate, transparent elections, enjoying the trust of football community. We believe we are given a unique opportunity to form a truly independent, leading professional football structure that will work for the benefit of Armenian football, and we have no right to miss this opportunity. We urge other football clubs and other representatives of the football community to join our call.
