At the invitation of Pyunik FC the club's academy recently hosted prestigious coaches from Italy: Oreste Chinquini, Stefano Guidoni, Lorenzo di Lorio and Claudio Gaudino.

During the three-day visit, the Italian coaches got acquainted with the technical capabilities of our club, followed trainings of different age-group teams, communicated and had discussions with the club management and coaches.

"Of course, 3 days is too little time to get a full understanding of everything. Here at Pyunik, I saw great desire and concentration. We realized that we are in a really serious place and our desire to help this club was reaffirmed," Claudio Gaudino told us.

Claudio Gaudino had won the 2006 World Championship with the Italy national team as a fitness coach. Besides, the experienced specialist had worked for 19 years in Inter Milan and 10 years in Juventus Turin.

The Italian coaches say that every country should have its own model of football development, based on the traditions and national characteristics of the given country.

"We need to combine our international experience with Armenian customs and get a new program, which will be tailored for the Pyunik Academy. I have already presented the initial version to the president of the club, and we have exchanged ideas," Oreste Chinquini said.

Oreste Cinquini had also had an impressive career; during his coaching career, he had worked as an assistant coach in a number of well-known Italian clubs, such as Lazio, Fiorentina and Udinese. Chinquini had been the sports manager of  Zenit St. Petersburg  and had been included in the coaching staff of the Russia national team from 2012 to 2015.

On the final day, the Italians had a summary meeting with the coaches of the academy at the club's sports base, highlighting the high qualification of the specialists working in Pyunik, especially from a technical point of view. The coaches also shared their experience on how to best organize the training process and get the most out of the children in a short time.
