Pyunik FC has a new addition: 30-year-old defender Robert Darbinyan has joined our team.

Darbinyan is a graduate of the Tolyatti Football Academy. He has played for the second team of Samara’s Krylia Sovetov, and later represented Gyumri’s Shirak, Ararat-Armenia, and Urartu.

In January 2021, Robert joined Pyunik, but did not make any official appearances for our team during his half-season spell. Then he continued his career in Yerevan’s Ararat.

Robert Darbinyan’s previous club was Gyumri’s Shirak, where he played since January 2023. In the first part of the current season, he made 15 appearances for Shirak and provided one assist.

Darbinyan has previously represented Armenia at U-17 and U-19 teams, and in 2018 he made his debut for the Armenia national team, participating in a friendly match against the Lithuania (0:1).
