In the 11th round of the Armenian First League, Pyunik Academy hosted the league leaders, Olympia Ashtarak.

In the 16th minute, following a well-worked multi-pass combination by our team, Steven Alfred opened the scoring from close range — 1:0.

Sargis Metoyan had good scoring opportunities for Pyunik Academy, but all his attempts proved unsuccessful.

It is worth noting that our team's goalkeeper, Samson Hakobyan, delivered a reliable performance, making key interventions in several episodes.

In the 82nd minute, Olympia managed to restore parity. Andrew Laurenson delivered a cross from the left wing into our penalty box, and Gabriel Dos Santos found the back of the net with a header to make it 1:1.

Immediately after scoring, Olympia's players had a chance to snatch a victory. Aram Hovsepyan fouled the same Gabriel Dos Santos inside his own penalty area, leading the referee to award a penalty kick. The victim stepped up to take it himself, but fortunately, his shot struck the vertical post. The match ended in a 1:1 draw.

After 10 matches, Pyunik Academy holds 8th place in the league standings with 12 points.
