As part of the 12th round of the Armenian First League, Pyunik Academy faced Noah-2 in an away match.
The start of the match did not go well for Pyunik Academy. In the 5th minute, capitalising on the complacency of our players, the hosts managed to open the scoring at 1-0. The goal was scored by Brian Oddei.
However, just before the halftime whistle, Pyunik Academy managed to restore parity. Narek Hakobyan took possession of the ball, shook off the opponent's defenders, and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, slots it home to make it 1-1.
In the 58th minute, the hosts managed to take the lead again. The author of the first goal, Brian Oddei, received a pass from Andranik Karapetyan near our team's penalty area, adjusted the ball to his left foot, and beat the Pyunik Academy goalkeeper with a precise shot to make it 2-1.
Nevertheless, shortly after, our boys managed to level the score once again. Noah-2 defender Gagik Karapetyan fouled Aram Khachatryan inside his own penalty box, and the referee awarded a penalty kick. Armen Sukiasyan stepped up and confidently converted from the spot to make it 2-2.
It seemed the teams would settle for a draw, but in the 5th minute of stoppage time, Noah-2 snatched victory out of nowhere. Edmond Hayrapetyan played a backpass to our goalkeeper, Seryozha Harutyunyan, who made a critical error while trying to clear the ball with his feet, causing it to deflect into our own net.
The match ended in a 3-2 victory for Noah-2.
Following this match, our team sits in 9th place in the tournament standings with 12 points. Pyunik Academy will play its next match on November 23, hosting BKMA-2.
