In the previous matchday Pyunik suffered the third defead in the current championship two of which had ended with a high score. This time our team lost 0-3 to Alashkert at home.

In the match against Alashkert midfielder of the Armenia national team Aras Ozbiliz made his debut in the lineup of our team as well as spent his first match in the Armenian Premier League.
