Pyunik’s performances in numbers and facts

Here are 25 facts summarizing Pyunik’s performances in the autumn period of the current championship.

In the first part of the championship Pyunik was managed by 2 coaches: from the 1-12th matchdays of the Premier League Pyunik performed headed by Aleksandr Tarkhanov and in the last 3 matches of the autumn period Suren Chakhalyan led the team as a head coach.

After 15 played matched Pyunik has 20 points. Our team has earned 9 points in home and 11 points in away matches.

Pyunik had its biggest win over Yerevan, 8-2, and suffered the biggest loss from Ararat (1-4).

Pyunik scored 31 goals (in average 2,07 goals per match) which is the best result among the Premier League teams.

Instead our team also conceded many goals (29) (in average 1,93 goals per match). Only Yerevan, going on the last position of the championship, has a worse rate (53).

Pyunik acted most effectively during the 75th to 90th minutes of a match, scoring 10 goals. It was less effective between the 45th and 60th minutes when it stood out only once.

In 14 out of 15 matches Pyunik scored a goal. Our team left the pitch without a goal only in the 6th matchday against Alashkert (0-3).

4 penalty kicks were awarded in favor of Pyunik 3 of which were scored and 1 penalty kick was caught by the opponent’s goalkeeper. 5 penalty kicks were awarded at the expense of Pyunik 4 of which were flawlessly scored and 1 penalty kick was inaccurate.

In the championship matches Pyunik was the most successful against Yerevan, the last place holder, winning it 4-1 in the first round and 8-2 in the second round.

And the worst rate of our team was in the matches against Ararat from which our team suffered defeat in the first two rounds,1-4 and 2-4 respectively.

27 footballers played for Pyunik in the past 15 matches 13 of which were legionaries.

2 footballers took part in all the matches, Andrija Dragojevic and Sergey Shevchuk. Maksim Zhestokov, Artak Yedigaryan and Denis Mahmudov spent 14 matches each.

Macedonian Denis Mahmudov is the team’s top scorer with 9 scored goals. Artur Miranyan places second with 6 goals.

Sergey Shevchuk became the author of the most assists in Pyunik (7).

Aras Ozbiliz is the author of the quickest goal of our team who scored a goal against Ararat-Armenia in the 6th minute of a match. And the latest goal was scored by Artur Miranyan against Shirak in the 3rd minute of added time.

Miranyan’s goal against Shirak was also the jubilee 1600th goal of Pyunik in the championships of the Armenian Premier League.

Denis Mahmudov’s poker against Yerevan was the first poker of Pyunik in the last 16 years. Last time such a result had been scored in our team by Galust Petrosyan who had sent 4 goals to the goal post of Abovyan’s Kotayk in the 2003 championship.

Pyunik’s oldest footballer in the first part of the championship was 34-year-old Ukrainian Sergey Shevchuk and the youngest player was 16-year-old Levon Vardanyan who made his debut in the Premier League match against Yerevan (8-2).

Pyunik’s goalkeeper Andija Dragojevic conceded 29 goals in the past 15 matches (in average 1,93 goals per match) and saved the goal post twice.  In the same period of the previous championship Dragojevic had conceded 14 goals in 13 matches (in average 1,07 goals perm match) and had spent 4 goalless matches.

Pyunik’s players got 34 yellow and 4 red cards.

Kristi Marku was cautioned most of all (4). Artak Yedigaryan, Armen Manucharyan and Serob Grigorgyan got 3 yellow cards each.

4 players of our team deserved a red card. Armen Manucharyan, Kristi Marku and Robert Hakobyan were sent off the pitch with the second yellow card and Erik Vardanyan was sent off with a red card.

Referee Zaven Hovhannisyan showed the largest number of yellow cards to our team players (12) and Suren Baliyan – the lowest number of cards (1).

Denis Mahmudov, scoring 9 goals in the 15 matches of the autumn period of the championship, managed to catch up with Carl Lombé who concludes the top 5 most effective legionaries of Pyunik but the Cameroonian had spent 64 matches. Marcos Pizzelli leads the top 5 (31).

Andrija Dragojevic (45), Maksim Zhestokov (39) and Sergey Shevchuk (30) were included in the best 10 legionaries of Pyunik who have played the most matches in the Armenian championships. Malian Mamadou Diawara tops the list (66).
