The paiful defeat of the previous match day suffered from Lori not only deprived our team of valuable points but also of leading the standings in case of victory.

After the 25th day though Pyunik has retreated to the 4th place the top 4 teams of standings are pecked very closely and after every match day the changes in the teams’ layout have become inevitable.

Tomorrow, on April 11, in the framework of the 25th match day of the championship Pyunik will be hosted by Ararat. This will be our team’s last match in the 3rd season and on the next, 27th day Pyunik will be free.

In the current championship Pyunik and Ararat have already met twice:  on the 8th match day held on September 16 our team managed to win 3-1 Ararat in an away match at Nairi Stadium. Our team’s Petros Avetisyan, Maksim Trusevich and Denis Voynov stood out with scored goals in that match.

The next match between the teams took place on the 17th match day of the championship where our team suffered an unexpected defeat, 0-1, from Abraham Khashmanyan’s alumni at Republican Stadium, and that result was the biggest surprise of the day.

As it has been repeatedly mentioned Pyunik performs very successfully when hosted in the current championship. In its last away match our team drew the match with Banants and made the number of gained points in away matches 24. Here our team shows the best result of the championship inspiring optimism on the eve of the match against Ararat.

It should be mentioned Yuri Nagaytsev will prepare our team for the upcoming match, replacing Andrei Talalaev who has left Pyunik on the eve.

Our team’s defender Kristi Marcu will miss the match against Ararat because of the 4th yellow card.
