Pyunik lost 0:2 to Alashkert at home in the 3rd round of the Armenian Premier League.

At the very start of the match, the guests earned a penalty kick. Jose Embalo approached the ball, but Stanislav Buchnev made an impressive save. Our team was making attempts at the goal of Alashkert, but in one of the episodes, after a shot by Joao Paredes, the rival was saved by the goal bar and in the other, the Portuguese failed to score. Alashkert took advantage of a corner kick in the first half, taking the lead after Vazha Patsatsia's header.

In the second half, our team tried to restore the score balance, but the guests' goalkeeper Valerio Vimercati was invulnerable. However, Chapi Cato put an end to the match, making the score 0:2.

It should be noted that Pyunik Academy players Hamlet Aleksanyan and Ishkhan Darbinyan were on the pitch from the first minutes and celebrated their debut in the Armenian Premier League. Artur Manukyan and Samson Hakobyan also celebrated their debut, coming out as substitutes in the second half.

Pyunik's next match in the framework of the Conference League playoff round will be played at the Republican Stadium on August 22 against Slovenia’s Celje.
