Pyunik Academy led by the newly appointed head coach of the team Levon Stepanyan, started the championship with a young squad.

Eight footballers from Pyunik 2007 and Pyunik 2008 joined the team headed by Levon Stepanyan.

Artur Petrosyan, Zhirayr Ashikyan and Ruben Karapetyan were transferred to the second team of Pyunik from Pyunik 2008. Last season, our boys won the Armenian U17 Championship and Cup. It is noteworthy that Zhirayr Ashikyan and Ruben Karapetyan made their debut in the First League last season, playing in the games against Gandzasar and Onor.

This year, the boys participated in the Elite Neon Cup tournament in the capital of Greece, Athens, where after an impressive group stage, they came second, having equal points with the Georgian academy team of Inter, but conceding them by only two goals.

Artur Petrosyan, Zhirayr Ashikyan and Ruben Karapetyan have been invited to the Armenia U17 national team.

Narek Poghosyan, Mayis Khachatryan, Martin Galstyan, Artak Galstyan and Valeri Hambardzumyan moved to Pyunik Academy from Pyunik 2007.|

These players achieved an impressive victory in the Armenian U18 Championship and Cup last season.

Our alumni are always invited to different age group teams of Armenia; Artak Galstyan to the Armenia U18 team, Martin Galstyan and Mayis Khachatryan to the Armenia U17 team and Narek Poghosyan to the U15 team.
