In the second round of the Armenian First League, Pyunik Academy played an away match against Mika.

Led by Stepan Harutyunyan, our team started the championship with a win and managed to build on that success in this match as well.

Just 7 minutes in, following a free kick, Pyunik Academy defender Edmond Hayrapetyan opened the scoring with a beautiful header.

In the second half, our boys found the back of Mika's net twice in quick succession to extend their lead.

First, in the 54th and 58th minutes, captain Valery Hambardzumyan brilliantly finished fast counterattacks organized by Pyunik Academy, scoring a brace.

Just 3 minutes later, following a corner taken by Artem Hakobyan, Edmond Hayrapetyan won an aerial duel in the opponent's penalty area and netted his second goal of the match with an unstoppable header.

After establishing a 4-goal lead, our players lost a bit of focus, allowing the hosts to score twice against Pyunik Academy, but they couldn't achieve anything more.

Our team claimed a 4:2 victory and joined the league leaders with 6 points.

Pyunik Academy will play its next match on August 15, hosting Urartu-2.
