After the winter break, the Armenian First League resumed. In Round 18, Pyunik Academy hosted Noah-2.
The match started very unsuccessfully for Pyunik Academy. First, our defender Edmond Hayrapetyan fell awkwardly on the pitch in one of the episodes and was unable to continue the game. A few minutes later, Noah-2 took the lead — 0:1. The goal for the visitors was scored by Andranik Karapetyan.
After the break, our boys came out completely transformed and managed to turn the game around. In the 71st minute, Tigran Gevorgyan equalized with a precise strike, and four minutes later, following a corner kick, Valery Hambardzumyan scored an unstoppable header to secure a 2:1 victory for our team.
Pyunik Academy earned 22 points and moved up to 8th place in the standings. Our team will play its next match on March 9 away against BKMA-2, who are currently in 2nd place in the table.
