Pyunik earned its first point in the newly started VBET Armenian Premier League ending the match of the pervious matchday against Urartu in a goalless draw. Our team still doesn’t manage to open the score of goals in the current championship.
2 debuts in Pyunik
In the match against Urartu Julius David Ufuoma and Dramane Salou made their debut in Pyunik both entering the match as substitutes in the 60th minute.
For Anton Kobyalko this match was the 50th in the Armenian championship. The Russian forward has spent 48 matches in Ararat-Armenia and 2 matches in Pyunik.
In the third day of the VBET Armenian Premier League Pyunik will be hosted by the newcomer of the championship, Van, in Charentsavan. It will be the first official match of the teams.
Matches of preseason period
The previous two matches between Pyunik and Van Charentsavan took place in the framework of the preseason friendly matches.
The first match of the teams was played at the FFA Technical Centre/Football Academy on July 28 last year where newly formed Van won 2-0 Pyunik. Our team played that match with its second lineup as the players of the main lineup were preparing for the second leg of the Europa League against Czech Jablonec.
The last friendly match between Pyunik and Van took place on August 6 this year during Pyunik’s training camp in Dilijan. Van could win Pyunik again, this time scoring 4-2. The two goals of our team were scored by Aras Ozbiliz.
