Kim Arakelyan

Kim Vladik Arakelyan was born in Kapan (Armenia) on September 21, 1991. In 1998-2008 he studied in Kapan secondary school N 3. In 2008-2012 he graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of International Relations with a Bachelor’s degree and in 2012-14 he received a Master's degree at the same faculty. In 2012 he had an internship in the Foreign Relations Department of the National Assembly of RA. In the summer of 2013 he took an English language course at King's College London.

From January 2011 to January 2015 Kim Arakelyan worked for FC Gandzasar, being in charge of international relations. From September 2013 to December 2014 he also worked at the National Assembly of RA as an assistant to a deputy. From July 2015 to June 2018 Kim Arakelyan was the sporting director of Alashkert and from July 2018 to January 2021 he held the position of vice-president of the club. During that period Alashkert FC became the champion of Armenia three times, the third prize and Armenian Cup winner once and Supercup winner twice.

Since January 2021 Kim Arakelyan has been the general director of Pyunik FC.

From July 2019 to July 2021 he participated in the club management program organized by the European Club Association (ECA) and received a special certificate. The courses were held at such prestigious clubs as Juventus (Turin), Hertha (Berlin, Germany), Ajax (Netherlands).

From August 2023 to August 2024 he participated in the ECA Academy management programme and received a diploma. The Football Academy Management Programme was created in collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Institute in the Netherlands, and the courses were held at such prestigious clubs as Manchester City (England), Ajax (Netherlands), and Club Brugge (Belgium).

Since January 2020 Kim Arakelyan has been a member of the FFA Executive Committee and Chairman of the FFA Championships Organizing Committee.

In July 2021, the general director of Pyunik FC traveled to Iran on his own initiative to get acquainted with the work of the Isfahan club and to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the club.
